Let me take you back to where my love for cooking truly began. I grew up in a peaceful, charming town in America, where the open skies always felt full of endless possibility.

As an only child, I spent much of my time at my grandma’s house next door — a place full of warmth, life, and the vibrant colors of her flourishing garden. The air always smelled of fresh herbs, blooming flowers, and ripe fruit. Her strawberries, especially, had a magic of their own — sweet, juicy, and kissed by sunshine. They sparked my lifelong passion for using fresh, wholesome ingredients.

But the heart of it all was Grandma’s kitchen. It was her sanctuary — and it quickly became mine too. With her creativity, she could turn the simplest pantry staples into something unforgettable. Her pies, cookies, and soul-warming meals drew in friends and neighbors, filling the house with love, laughter, and the irresistible scent of home-cooked magic. That’s where my journey with food began — and where HowToCookToday was born.

Now at 34, even though my grandma is no longer with us, I carry her spirit in every dish I make. This blog, HowToCookToday, is my way of honoring her legacy—sharing the love, warmth, and joy she poured into every meal with others.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find me with a hot cup of coffee, dreaming up new recipes—many inspired by her favorite ingredient: strawberries! My greatest hope is that these recipes bring comfort to your home, just like my grandma’s always did.
